Hi there. My name is Joanna, and my husband and I were recently transferred to Ft. Lee. I started this book group to meet others in the area who enjoy reading and good conversation. Examples of books I’ve read in a previous book group include The Seamstress, A Long Way Gone, Gilead, Olive Kitteridge, The Poisonwood Bible and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I'd like to keep membership to this group to about 15 women in the Tri-Cities area (Colonial Heights, Petersburg, Hopewell, Ft. Lee). If that s …

The discussions can be lively, so keep an open mind & sharpen your most constructive conversation skills! Please bring a dish to share or purchase a bottle of wine for group tasting at each meetup. Looking to start a book club here in the Richmond/Midlothian area of Virginia. Initial meetings will take place at Colony Coffee. If you're interested, or at least curious, join up! If you can't make a meeting, don't worry. I'll do my best to try for a time that works for everyone, but realistically crises and events come up that might keep you from attending. Likewise if you're having a busy month and skip the book, just jump right back in- there is no marks for tardiness!

I am looking to meet with a group of people of diverse backgrounds to discuss some of the great self-help books if the 20th and 21st centuries. I am currently reading the classic Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Ideally I'd like to meet every two weeks to discuss a couple of chapters at a time. My vision is to start with some of the classics and move on to more contemporary works.

I am interested in starting this group for us, because I have lost several friends due to death and it is hard for me to meet new people. I work out of my home so don't get to have access to meet people. i would like to have a small group of ladies that maybe are in the same situatiion. I would like to be able to plan trips or cruises, meet for lunches; maybe learn new activities such as golf, bowling and just have fun and be there for each other. Also I love to read so we could read books and h …
