I started this group because I love to read Sci-Fi and Fantasy books, but I rarely have anyone to discuss them with. I've only been in CT for a few months, and I would love to meet like-minded individuals that I can have fun with and also share my love for the fantastical.

This is a reboot of a book club I started 3 years ago for women of all ages and backgrounds to read a variety of books. Each member has a chance to present a book they want to read. We are an easy-going group of people who want an excuse to get out of the house more, and talk about books, eat some food, drink some drinks, do some book swapping, etc. Our meetings take place on the first Monday of each month, at Forbes Library in Northampton. After this group was begun by another organizer, I took over in the spring of 2012 so that a group of individuals who enjoy reading can share ideas. It's interesting to hear different view points from the group about the people's/character's personalities, the settings, and the topics in general. We will read  contemporary/classic fiction and non- fiction about once a month.  The monthly books are selected after the last meeting on an online poll.  Book suggestions for the poll are allotted to those have attended prior meetings.  We meet the last Wednesday of each month.
